Leave a Bag, Take a Bag
Do you have too many reusable shopping bags? Would you like to help others reduce their use of single-use plastic bags? Lynnhaven River NOW, Eco Maniac Company and others are embarking upon a reusable bag collection and distribution program which will help Virginia Beach residents prepare for a future when grocery stores, convenience stores, and pharmacies no longer use single use plastic bags. We will be joining forces with local business, Pearl Faith communities, and other non-profits who will collect and redistribute clean new or gently used bags to members of our community who may not have easy access to free reusable bags. Many of us have plenty of bags in our car trunks or at home, and we can all pitch in and help get them in the hands of our neighbors who need them.
